Nate is half right, as I enjoy just about EVERYTHING more when he's not there, but on to my review.
Thai Hut is just about the best use ever of a Long John Silver's carcass. The food is great, the atmosphere is decent enough, and it's small enough to look busy even when there's only ten people inside, so all the hipsters wanna hang out there.
I had the Ginger Chicken, my old standby, and it was solid as always. This was actually the first time I have eaten AT Thai Hut, as usually we get take-out from there. I was also impressed w/ the waitress's's's decision to move us when a table opened up.
I recommend a spicy level of 5 for anyone trying Thai Hot for the first time as thier spices are very weak. Trust me. Bravo, Thai Hut, bravo.
Don't let the fact that it is in a KMart parking lot detour you...Thai Hut should be a staple for ANYONE who enjoys Asian food in Rockford. Hell...ikf you enjoy food, give Thai Hut a try!
Like always, I enjoyed my traditional Thai Hut order...Cashew Chicken with no pineapple, spicey level two.
The service was good considering that the place was PACKED! The stuff that the boys mentioned about the table and being moved IS true...and I concur with everything that they said.
SOME ADVICE: If you can...get your food to go. Lunchtime is ALWAYS deceptively busy (people seem to come in groups) as I RARELY see an empty table there during the noon hour. This joint has the BEST Asian takeout in town!
Welcome to the official blog of the International Dining Society. Originally founded in 1932 by two brothers, the IDS was resurrected in 2005 and has been going strong ever since! The goal...to find interesting lunch options on which to dine and to spread the word of said options to the masses who struggle with the day to day choices of McDonald's versus Burger King.

I have a better use for a LJS's carcass: The one here in the JV has been converted into a gun store. Take that, you pirates!!
