  • Gourmet House is probably the newest Chinese Restaurant in town and it shows! The interior is (as Nate mentioned) modern and new...but comes across a little sterile. For some reason...the ambiance music was Christian rock. I'm not a religious man...but I'm PRETTY sure the Chinese TRADITIONALLY aren't down with the G.O.D.

The meal was good, but forgettable...nothing that came across any more memorable than ANY run of the mill Chinese restaurant. To me...an Asian joint needs to deliver one of two things to stick out of the crowd: great food (Thai Hut) or the sense of danger when eating there (Phainam). All that being said, I probably had chicken something or another.

SOME ADVICE: If you go with friends...get your bill combined. The higher the bill, the more free appetizers you get. I wanna say we got some crab rangoon because our order was more than twenty bones.
