  • A nice little deli with lots o' choices...but probably not as good as Deli Italia I. I had the Stromboli. Why did they named a dish after the evil puppet-master from Pinocchio, you ask? Beats me...and quit asking me questions.

It was stuffed with meats and cheeses. I'm a little hazy on which types, but it was pretty much all the good ones. Plus there's NO SAUCE in a Stromboli, which is great for me, 'cause I'm not big on the red sauce.

ADDED BONUS: I ordered my Stromboli right out of the deli case, so while the rest of the IDSers were awaiting their orders, I was already chowing down. Suckers.

  • So here's the deal...I could review Deli Italian Deux based on this dining experience (I had the muffaletta), but I'll refrain as the sammich was a disappointment.

NOW, seeing how my father-in-law is "connected" and a friend of Mr. Italia Deux himself...I've had some more sammiches since this IDS visit.

Based on Ryan's recommendation, I tried the stromboli...not too shabby. After that, I got some comfort food (when Gramps died) in the form of the Italian beef and that was the winner!

I guess the third time is the charm with The Deux!

A long wait was had by those of us who didn't order from the case...take that advice however you want it.

SOME MORE ADVICE: Partner up with someone and order the green olives. They're $2.20 an order and well worth every cent.
